This trail in the Strawberry Mountain Wilderness provides access from Strawberry Lake to Slide Basin Trail #372 to Slide and Little Slide Lakes. This short connector trail is located in a beautifully forested area of Ponderosa Pine.
Access
From the town of Prairie City, OR., turn onto South Main Street. Follow South Main Street to the junction with Bridge Street. Turn left onto Bridge Street, turn right onto Bridge Street again. (this will be the first right turn). Follow Bridge Street out of city limits the road becomes County Road 60. Travel County Road 60 approximately 9 miles before the road becomes Forest Road 6001. Continue on Forest Road 6001 to the Strawberry Campground. From the campground take Strawberry Basin Trail #375 for less than a mile, Slide Basin Trail #372 will be on the left. Slide Basin Shortcut Trail #5005 is just a little way up the Slide Basin Trail #372.
