OUR MISSION is “To Promote and provide education and social supports that foster successful parenting.” Families First was formed in 1999 and incorporated in 2000 as a private nonprofit to provide parenting education in Grant County, Oregon. We utilize earned income, grants, donations and local fundraising efforts conducted by staff and the board of directors to support our programs. To operate our programs at minimal cost, we rely heavily on community volunteers and partnering agencies for various duties. Community members conduct parent classes for which they are trained, maintain our lawn, sew baby slings for new mothers, cook meals for our classes, donate food, cash, clothing, and household items as well as many other valuable contributions that are passed on to families.
