FOOD BANKS ARE ACCEPTING DONATIONS

Local Food Banks
I have been asked several times if the local food banks are accepting donations. I have checked with them and the answer is Yes!
There are three food banks in Grant County that I am aware of. If you know of any others, please let me know.
All are accepting donations – Please call before you drop anything off to make sure someone is there to receive it.

GRANT COUNTY FOOD BANK

The Grant County Food Bank is open for distributing food the fourth Wednesday of every month from 9am to 1pm.
We welcome donations from local growers/producers as well as cash and food donations from private parties.

PRAIRIE CITY BAPTIST CHURCH FOOD BANK
145 WEST FRONT STREET

Located in the Youth Center in Prairie City, our food bank distributes food on the third Tuesday of every month from 5pm to 7pm. During this time a complimentary community meal is also served. All are welcome!
We greatly appreciate donations of food to both the food bank and for the community meal.

MONUMENT FOOD PANTRY

The Monument food pantry is open to distribute food on the third Thursday of every month from 10am to 2pm. The food pantry is held in the modular building on 2nd street, behind the Senior Center.
We welcome donations from local growers/producers as well as cash and food donations from private parties.

The John Day United Methodist Church Food Pantry distributes food boxes every Friday from 3pm to 6pm.
We welcome donations from local growers and producers as well as cash and food donations from private parties.
