What's Happening in Canyon City?
The Town of Canyon City received two grants from the Oregon Department of Energy for the Canyon City Community Hall and two grants were also received for the Grant County Historical Museum.
The windows have been replaced in both buildings and we are currently in the process of installing new heating systems and insulation.
The Grantville Theater is currently closed. We anticipate the improvements will be completed sometime this spring. These improvements will make a huge difference and we feel very fortunate to have received the grants, as we had no funding for this.
The date for 62 Days has been changed this year - it will be held June 10th and 11th.We will be hosting the Oregon State Cowboy Fast Draw Championships in Canyon August 4th - 7th. Mark your calendars for these exciting events!
