What's Happening in Canyon City?
The Juniper Singers will be performing their next concert in the Canyon City Community Hall on February 20th at 7:00 PM
The City received a grant from the State Department of Energy for weatherization in the Community Hall. Soon we will be replacing the old window panes with new ones and insulating the ceiling. We have also applied for funding to install a heat pump system in the building. We hope to hear if we got it in February.
We are working with the State Historic Preservation Office to determine the best options for restoring the building because of it's historic significance.
The building is one of the few in the John Day and Canyon City area that will accomodate large groups. It is available for rent. Please call the City Hall for more information.
